Honest Equity

A quieter way to
think about money
and mind.

Three practices, one principle: understanding beats persuasion. I teach people to think clearly about their finances, hold space for people to think clearly about their minds, and train and coach leaders on how to lead well.

About Honest Equity

Founder

I'm Matteo, and I run Honest Equity. The name is deliberate: equity as fair ownership of your own financial decisions, and equity as fairness — treating you as someone who can understand their own situation, not just be sold a solution.

All three practices share the same method: slow down, explain the reasoning, and leave you better equipped to decide for yourself — whether the subject is your portfolio, your week, or the habit you're trying to build.

A little about my background

For context

Before this

Before Honest Equity, I spent ten years in the energy sector, most recently as a senior management consultant, advising energy companies on digital platforms, organisational change, and, more recently, artificial intelligence.

Earlier roles included business development and strategy for a renewable energy joint venture in Istanbul, several years in product and market roles at a German energy company, and work as an equity research analyst valuing publicly listed energy companies.

I studied industrial engineering, followed by a master's in climate change, management and finance at Imperial College London.

Two things carried over directly into this practice: financial valuation and analysis from the research and consulting work, and agile coaching and facilitation from leading teams through change — the disciplines behind the wealth advisory and the coaching offering here.
